two weeks in Kerala. They swam in the rivers, attended village festivals,

Cruise'N Lake and Puthenpura Tourist Enclave welcome any
tourist to Cheepunkal, Kumarakom, Kottayam, Kerala, India. It is facing
the lake Vembanad, one of the largest lagoons in Kerala. It is on the bund
of the paddy field Anthonikkayal that is bordered by the lake and river
Pennarthodu. It is one of the most beautiful tourist spots and one can
reach here by road and waterways.
Kumarakom an international tourist center: Cheepunkal is
considered a part of Kumarakom, a village in the eastern coast of lake
Vembanad. If one travels 8 kms to the west from Kottayam town by road, one
can reach Kumarakom and 12 Kms to Cheepunkal. Once a tourist reaches the
area, it will be difficult for him/her to leave the place, as it is so
attractive, enchanting and peaceful. It takes you to the lake, to boating,
rowing, swimming, diving, fishing, cruising and what not! Here one is in
the lap of nature. Eco tourism is encouraged here. Coconuts beckon one
from far off places to Kumarakom to enjoy nature. Sri. Atal Behari
Vajpayee, the Prime Minister of India, spent weeks here to relax. People
from far and wide reach Kumarakom, an international center of tourist
attraction, from September to May. Enchanting breeze from the lake relaxes
one for hours together. Bathing in lake is hilarious. Coconut juice is a
pure natural drink and coconut is a delicious natural food. Kumarakom is a
land of coconuts and fishes. Throughout the year Kumarakom is good for Tourism. The temperature lie between 20 to 35 degree Celsius all throguh the year.
