Many Home stay units are approved by the Department of Tourism, Government of Kerala, and they provide cheaper accommodation, hygienic and delicious food to tourists. They provide safety and security to tourists while providing accommodation in houses specially designed for tourists. They arrange for tourist visits by boats or vehicles........

It provides accommodation in an air-conditioned double bed room @ Rs.1500/- ($35) for two persons, and @ Rs.1100/- ($25) in non-a/c rooms. Group facilities are also provided.

Cruise'N Lake is owned by Sri. Jose P.V., Puthenpura, a retired defense officer. Puthenpura Tourist Enclave is a Government approved Homestay unit with 2 AC Double rooms and a few ordinary rooms. Delicious food is served with fresh river fishes like prawn, karimeen, etc. at cheaper rates.Tourists are given provision for self cooking using gas stoves.It lends on rent motor boats, speed boats, house boats, rowing boats, country boats, etc. There is also provision for rowing, canoeing, water sports, swimming, fishing using hooks or nets. Night stay could be arranged in the specially designed home stay units or in lake Vembanad in House boats or motor boats.Coconuts are available in plenty and so fresh coconut juice is available as a natural drink.

Motor boat tours are organized to any tourist spot in the neighbourhood such as Pathiramanal, Thanneermukkom barriers, Alleppey, Aryad, Kottayam, Aymanam, Kudamaloor, Mannanam Pilgrim center where the tomb of Blessed Kuriakose Elias Chavara is revered. It also arranges conducted tours to Thekkady, Idukki, Kochi, Ernakulam, Malampuzha, Pala, Bharanganam, Kurisumala, Vagamon, Thiruvananthapuram, etc. by road.
